RF 1001bd or RF 501bd

I'll soon be ordering 1 12" ED O. I can't decide whether to get the single VC or dual VC. If I get the single VC, I want to get an RF 1001bd to give the sub 500x1 RMS at 4 ohms. If I get the dual VC, I'd get an RF501bd to give the sub 500x1RMS at 2 ohms.

Is it true that 4 ohm loads have less distortion than 2 ohm loads? If so, how noticeable is it? If the difference will be hardly noticeable, I'll just go with the dual VC sub and save $100 by getting the RF501bd.

Advice please...

Thanks Everyone!

Yes, the distortion level and effientcy both decline when the ohms load is lowered. I dont believe it would be noticable in any shape or form though.

Id get the 500, and save the bill.
