Reviews on the Directed 1100d

Does anyone have reviews on this amp???(rms @ 1ohm) Will this amp pound the hell out of 2 L7 12's??? I the option to get this amp really cheap!!! A guy has this amp runnin @ .5 on 4 comp vr's and he wants to trade me the Directed and $100 dor my boss blade 3500.1. Should I??? Thanks:crap:

Pretty good amp, but I'd get something bigger for 2 l7's. Don't clip them.

Decent amp, same thing as the 1200d and 1500d. They dont like heat too much though. Give it some room to breath (or atleast a fan) and it will be fine.

use the 100 he'll trade you, put another 100 with it, and buy another 1100d.

one 1100d is not enough for 2 L7's... one on each L7 however would most likely be plenty depending on output @ 2 ohms

not too sure. never used an orion. the only thing ive heard that is different with the orions from the rest of the directed amps are the beefed up power supplies. everything else is the same.

I used a Viper 1200d (same board) over a year ago on an SE 12. It pounded it nicely. Does rated power. I sold it to a buddy and hes been flogging a pair of CVRs with it to this day.

Vipers are "Dirty"? Meaning dirty power to the sub or bad quality sound...? I was about to buy a Viper 1200.1 and now I'm askurred. I just need something for my 18" SX to play with! When req was around he and I had similar setups. Both had RE SE's (mine was a 12 his was a 10) and we both had directed 1100D's. We ran ours at 2ohms though sending 800 watts to the subs. My amp never and I mean never ever ever got hot. I don't know what the deal was but after running it for a long time it never really got burning hott just kind of a mehhh hot.
