reversed subadvantages?

everytime me and my friend have tried facing the front of the cone inward it sounds crappy compared to the normal way. less bas and the parts of the speaker are easily ehard shaking/rattling. it doesnt seem to get as much compression. also takes up a lot more space and doesnt utilize extra box space. the tone has always been far worse reversed than normal also.

what exactly does reversing it do? some subs sound better this way? we have tried EDk15s, some cheap subs, old fosgate subs, cerwin vegas, and JLs

Did you remember to reverse the polarity ... ?

There shouldn't be a lot, or any even, of audible difference between the two mounting ... inverting works well when you dont have a lot of room for a box, or want to display a magnet.

Yup remember reverse polarity here...try switch around the speaker wire...see if you hear a difference...

and BTW, for anyone out there that reads this: If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it...

i never reversed the polarity. with the 2 flame qs i recently got for 50 bucks each ill def show off the magnet of one and the main side of the other, thanks guys!!

yeah mine are inverted. They may be a tiny bit better since ur squeezing out a bit more room outa the box
