I need help building this box. Because i dont understand

Use 3/4" material to build your box

Make your box with the following internal dimensions: W=32" H=13"

D=12.5"

Fire the subs and port to the rear. You will have a slot port; use

either end of the box end panels for the outer port wall. Center your

subs in the area between the inner port wall and the opposite end of

the

box.

Your port will be 3." wide and 13" tall and 20" long (measured from the

outer face of the box)You will have to bend the port 90 degrees at a

point 3" from the inside face of the rear box panel and continue the

inner port wall for a distance of 10.5"

Your port opening area will be 40 sq" and be tuned to approx 37 Hz

Your box will be 2.5 cubes net after displacements

Have fun

dj

I dont understand it.. is it literally for sides and then on one side a port cut out? on the same side as the subs? I dont understand how it could be both tall wide and long it just doesn't make sense. Help a brother out

I understand the box but I don't understand your question.

The box is designed to look like this, you can put the port on either end...

That's what he is describing. I disagree that it's tuned to 37hz though. It's much closer to 40hz and about 2.35 net after sub displacement. It's 2.48 cubes before the subs are in it but after the port.

i almost feel like i have to pay you for that post. Thank you so much my friend!

am i looking at the pic wrong or am i just stupid? lmao

the port is supposed to be 20" long. is it measured from the center of the bend or the inner bend?

really a dumbass question but i never had to bend a port before.

Center of the bend. I think I interpreted DJ's directions wrong. My drawing shows a 20" long port length but DJ mentions a 10.25" piece. I assume that is supposed to be where the 6" piece is. If that is the case, the enclosure gets even smaller.
