solos are power hungry beware

takes alot of power to get the moving.

keep your eyes out for a blown XXX, MT, BTL, DD whatever you want..and recone it. probably get away with it anywhere from $400-$700 bucks depending on what you find. just as good as a brand new woofer.

or a motor for sale. baskets are cheap. then a recone kit.

RE woofersetc prices are BS, they cant even get those subs. Thats retail, and if you call RE they are gonna qoute you retail. Just like if you call kicker they are gonna qoute you 1499.95 for a SoloX18 cause thats retail. Map on a Solo18 is 1299. No one pays that, right? Same goes for a MT, retail is 1075 for a MT18. No one pays that, find a good dealer and you will be surprised. People need to get off this whole Re retail kick, any company(JL, Kicker, Rf, etc.) that doesnt sell direct qoutes retail if you call them. But everyone knows you can get the product for less. Retail on a 12l7 is 449.95 does anyone pay that? Find a good dealer to work with and you will not pay much more than the old direct prices.

OMG! Those prices are just stupid! I may not go with a Solo X 18, but I for sure wont pay those prices for any sub. I can buy a brand new Solo X 18 local for $490 though. Thats a 100 pound beast of a sub for $490 !!!

I like how XMax and the weight of the sub seems to make it the best, have fun with ur purchase.

SoloX's shouldnt be taken lightly. If yours fuxord up you probbaly didnt put it togather correctly.

Also, SoloX's do NOT sound bad...MT and SQ are generally not put in the same sentence with out the word "bad".
