Welp i got to write a research paper so im going to do it about speed limits. im gonna write about how the speed limits need to be raised but i need sources which will back up my reasoning so this is where i need help. i know ive seen on like the discovery channel or something like that that the autobahn is much safer than us highways but i cant find anything written online about this or other comparisons like this online. if anyone can give me links that would be much appreciated. Also if any of you want to give your opinion that would help me too. thanks for the help.

IIRC the autobahn is "safer" than US Highways because of the actual road's design and such, but not because of the lack of speed limit.

Anyways....you couldn't find anything on Google or Yahoo! ?

yea i searched and i just keep getting things that arent related to what i want. yea i definently agree about the way people drive being a factor and also design which i will include but its just that i need to give five sources tomarrow with a bunch of note cards to prove that i actually did research. and good idea jimj.

you could try to show how america should adopt the german or british licensing system..i.e. its in grades and costs an assload...no jerk-off could just jump on the autobahn. Last time i watched the discovery channel, i think they said you need a special license and its around $5000 USD to get one...i dunno really. I'm just throwing out ideas.

yeah, i am pretty sure that montana isn't like that anymore. there may have been less fender benders, but more people getting serious hurt or seriously dead.

the autobahn is about 4-5 thicker than roads in the US. i think our highways are something like 5-10 inches think and the autobahn is 30-40. don't quote me on that though.

the laws are much more strict as well, there is a lane for going fast, and another lane for going slow, if someones going faster than you you have to yeild etc. Also its illegal to eat or drink while driving. Not to mention the citizens also have much more respect for the privelage of driving and their automobiles
