Removing Gooey Stuff

I bought an amp from someone and didn't know that it had double sided tape on it because of their terrible mounting job, and wanted to know the best product or way to get rid of the gooey stuff without ruining the paint on the amp. Any suggestions?

I just removed the clear bra from the front of my hood because it was fading yellow. I used the Goo Gone spray gel and it worked great! Got it at Home Depot. The gel is thicker than the standard Goo Gone so it stays around the area you spray fairly well. Just wash the area with soap and water after you are done. Always test a small spot first, but mine didn't seem to damage the clear coat or paint at all! Goo Gone is great stuff. Good luck!

That's the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Was doing more of a user based answer, I've already googled it.

Okay, I was just making sure that it wouldn't remove the finish somehow.
