I hope this helps,I've had paint&body shops for over 25 years.Every good paint shop has to have a excellent detailing dept..Here is the equation for dog hair removal----You did great with the wet/dry vac--you need a stiff 2" carpet upholstery brush,a spray misting bottle with some APC(all purpose cleaner)and of course ,the good wet/dry vac.The reason the hair was hard to pick up was because it was too light and would stay wrapped up in the carpet fiber. That is where the misting bottle comes into, play, spray a 1' x 2' area to be vaccumed until carpet is fairly damp, the mist add weight to the hair and allows it to be sucked up by the wet/dry vac..The vaccum nozzle should be at a 45 to 50 degree angle, not straight up and down.On the angle,it allows the hair to vaccum up allowing the user to utilize the full performance of the shop vac. This not only a professional tip from the detailing industry,I also have three dogs that are shedding as we speak. One great-dane-white lab mix-11 yrs.,one pit-bull-lab mix 13 yrs.(his name is Knuckles, short for Knucklehead,he was a terror in his formative years, now, his twilight years,i'll surley miss him.Rescued him at 10 weeks old,had him ever since. And last but not least,an Austrailian cattle-dog,7 years old.One day I'll post some good pics.Hope this helps. We also do expert polishing, paint and body.02 SENTRA-out---------------------------------
