Removing Clarion DRX6475

[mipspro]

I am trying to replace a head unit in my 1997 silverado. There is a Clarion DRX6475 installed but I cannot figure out how to get it to release. I have looked for a manual online but have had no luck. Any info would be appreciated.

You'll want something like these

That is correct, these had a locking cage with tabs on both sides. In a pinch, you might could use a paperclip, or something else very thin. The removal kit would be the best bet though. You will need to sort of wiggle it out past those two clips.
