remove mosfet clamp?

i got a hifonics amp that i blew up and want to remove the clamps that hold the mosfets down but i dont know how.. i was told to use an allen wrench but i can get the clamp off the fets but cant get the clip out.. any help?

Take the short end of the wrench, stick it in the hole in the clamp, then pry the clamp off.

But a better question is, why are you trying to take the clamp off to begin with? It kind of sounds like your a noob and I'm curious as to what your intentions are once you get the clamp off...

well i have been soldering for a long time.. and i have been repairing amps for a bit but never actually taken it out.. i've been working on us amps which is mostly surface mount. but i really dont know how to take the clips off.. do i just pray them off like upwards?

Yes, IIRC, you put the smaller end in facing downward and pry up. They should snap right out. Good luck with the repair man.

am i trying to bend them so they release pressure and then take them out or?
