Removable baffles?

I've designed a 4th order for my future setup and need to do a removable top baffle to get the subs in and out of the enclosure. I've heard of people using a foam or rubber gasket with screws, or caulk; however, I am concerned that if I don't use a strong enough bonding agent, the enclosure will blow apart. The enclosure is 3 cubes sealed and 9 cubes ported, and the top (which needs to be removable) is 42" x 38."

On the other hand, I am thinking I might be just fine considering that the sealed portion is going to be the pressurized and it is only 42" x 9.25."

well your going to need internal bracing anyway

the way I though about doing it was similar to yours, using screws and either silicone or similar

but use threaded rod as a brace and to help hold that removable panel. I know it looks like heck, just not sure what else would work? Using just dowell's you would have to screw into it and 1 screw holding a big flexing panel doesnt seem like it would work to me
