relocating head unit

Has anybodt tried this or seen somebody do it? Im trying to figure out a way to mount my HU somwhere else out plain site. Ive had a couple of units "walk away" from me, so I was wanting to try this.

Some people will put them in the glove box. You could make a cover to put on when you leave the car so it just looks like stock.....you DO take your face off the deck, right? or the ones that got stolen didnt have a detachable face?

relocating isnt as hard as it is time consuming. reroute wires big deal lol

some buildin envolved depending where you move it to but no its not to bad. as for the wires yep. i still use a wire harness too when i do it.

to get the HU in my accord i had to "relocate" it into the storage

compartment undearneath my old HU and factory climate controls...

fortunately there was a prefab mounting kit for my car... but im sure

with a little ingenuity you can fabricate something to put it in the

glove box...

and just extend the wires... probably isnt even as time consuming

as it seems...

I had to do alot of custom wiring for my head unit, basically all the wires. It wasn't all that hard, just time consuming. I just found the battery and ingition outputs on my fuse box and found a ground. Alot of soldering and stuff.
