Just saw another post on relays and it jogged my memory. I bought a relay a while back with the intention of looking up how to install it and lazy ole me never did that. Anyway I did not buy the $115 wiring harness needed in my 04 cavy for aftermarket stereo because it's a joke and a waste of money, however one of the benefits of the expensive azz harness is that it keeps in tact the warning chime for when you leave your lights on or keys in the ignition. Since then I have successfully left my lights on a few times and locked my keys in my car in the ignition a few times as well. I carry a spare key in my wallet now so that's no longer an issue. As for the headlight issue I bought an automotive relay and wanted to install it so that my headlights would shut off when my car was turned off to avoid problemo numero dos. I am not very experienced with relays though and if anyone has some free time to share how I should wire the relay to achieve this I would much appreciate it.
