Regular Cab

Hello,

I have a 96 ford f-350, with regular cab...

i bought a 12" ssx, and discovered it wont fit... i believe it is 6.35" deep or so...

now, ive been looking for a GOOD 12 that is roughly 6" or shallower... with no success.

SO

I've decided to go with 1-2 10" subs...

60%SPL / 40%SQ

~$400shipped

powering it with a NINe.1[1200@1ohm, for those that dont know]

using sealed box[not going ported. period. my own reasons.]

I'd go with some Memphis M-Class 12s or 10s. 10s have a 5" mounting depth and the 12s have a 5.5" depth. You could run 2 10 or 12 DVC4s for a 4 ohm load, but to really make good use of the NINe.1, you'd have to get 4 SVC4s and run a 1 ohm load as they're only 200W rms (I put 250 to each of 2 12s a few years ago and they handled great, so 300 shouldn't be a problem). They do great in small seald boxes. I had mine in maybe .5 cf apiece, and the box was so small that I still had almost al of my trunk left. These things bang too for their small rms specs. No one believed I only had 2 12s.

well, now that you mention memphis, i totally forgot about them...

ive heard they make amazing amps and subs....

i looked around at some of their stuff, and it looks like the M3's might suit me better...

Depending on how much room you have, you might also want to look into Exile Audio Xtec 10s. http://www.exilecaraudio.com/2006/products/subwoofers/ They have a mounting depth of only 3.5". They cost like $150 each though. Retail is 180 but you get a discount if you order direct. They also come with free shipping. PM me and I'll give you the address where you can order them.

my two dd 2510's get nasty with 1100 watts on them. my only other choice would be two treo tsi's with that kind of power. not really enough for anything more.

Adire Koda 12" is about 5.5" 18mm xmax, and only needs 300 watts.

If your going to get Memphis get the PRs at least. They cost same, have same depth but have more RMS/peak...............
