Why is that the automatic cure so many people goto when serious PC problems arise? I have been on the same OS install (Win98se) since the day after I got this computer. Never had to reformat ONCE. That's been working on 5 years now...

Reformatting gets rid of the majority of spyware and viruses. It also gets rid of everything but the core shit that ya need, i.e. old programs, files, etc.

I think crap cleaner cleans your registry ( www.ccleaner.com ) I know it fixs issues in it.
