is their somthing wrong with these? are they low quality? high fail rate? or is the rated 2500w @2ohms peak instead of rms? how can this much power be this cheap? their has to be somthing wrong with them. doesnt their?

It's cheap because it's used. Where are you buying it from? It's probably factory refurbished..

Dude I have the Viper d1200.1 and it pushes my SX pretty hard mine is 1200WRMS at 1 ohm but i think its a little underrated. I think this one retailed for like 700$(guestimate) so that d2500 had to of retailed for about 1000$ if not more. Where are you getting it from? And Viper is a branch off of DEI or Directed Audio and they make some high quality stuff. That d2500 is underrated if anything probably. But real good stuff. Dont worry about the refurb they might be as good or if not better than brand new cause they have to go through more tests and stuff before they can be resold.

Im actually thinkin of selling my d1200 for a d2500 cause im thinking of getting another 15" SX. And yes you should get one great price for a good amp.

I used to work in an electronic design and production company. When a board comes in for repair it is tested more thoroughly than a new board. Tolerances are tighter too.
