i am looking for a really detailed book on rebuilding an engine. something with a lot of info on the specifics of how to choose the appropriate sized components and their interaction especially with a stroker kit. the actual project for my car is a ways off, but i would like to start just reading up. i have a basic engineering knowledge on marine diesels (20,000+ hp) but am looking for something focused on performance.

what books did yall find helpful for learning this stuff?

thanks in advance dudes.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

I learned by doing really, with textbooks as a guide. I'd imagine if you were to look into your local Border's there would be at least a couple of books that would get specific on engines. I'm pretty sure at the local auto parts stores, near the Haynes and Chilton manuals I have seen specific engine related books. Give those two options a shot, and you could always check Amazon.com
