I do what I want
Hey guys I am thinkin about redoing my 79 F-150 but I was wanting some opinions and need to ask a question... Currently I have an Alpine HU and JL 5 1/4's in the doors and 6x9's behind the seat all wired to a JL 4ch. However I have no bass so I was going to unhook my door speakers from the amp and bridge those two channels for a sub then wire the doors to the HU... I Have 200 watts to play with on the sub so Ill prolly just do a 10" Kicker Comp or somthing cheap since its my show truck and doesnt get drivin a lot but am not sure yet? My question is could I wire my door speakers so that both the front and rear's +/- went to one speaker so that it would send both the the front and rears power would to just the fronts? My HU does 17 watts X4 and the front speakers can take 50 so Id be ok there I just dont know what problems that would bring about? I Would appreciate your thoughts on this whole thing...

Here she is (the only pic I can get to upload for some reason)...

It was my Grandpa's since he took order on it in 78 and I inherited it just recently... I fully restored it and took it to a local car show and told him to come down and look around (he didnt know I had even touched it) He saw it and it took him 10 minutes and reading them name tag 50 times to realise it was his old truck lol

Hahaha I want to know if it would be ok to run both the front and rears +/-'s to just the fronts so in theory it will combine the 17 rms to make 34 watts? Ill draw up a little diagram if you want right quick?
so...

you want to take your rear speakers, and run those wires to your fronts to draw power? Im assuming your fronts are being run off the JL amp? Then yes, it would work.

Amplifier=====fronts speakers======rear speakers

like that? ^^

Yes, it would work.
