I have done this a few times before. It is easy to make the wire to short after soldering it back on only to have the driver pop it back off after a long excursion. I found the best way is to add a little leangth of wire to it to prevent this from happeneing. You also have to be very carefull when soldering this wire as it is not like regular wire and has a way of just dissapearing on you as you apply heat. I suggest you practice on a blown driver or go to the shack and pick up a $5 junker to practice on first.

Well being that I have previously owned JL audio subs..ya know soldering the tinsel threads becomes a common task:rolleyes: ....Just get a soldering gun, let it heat up....Then get some lead(for soldering guns use specifically)...Place it on the tinsel thread then put the solder gun on it easy...and get it smooth...May take a few times before u get it right..BE CAREFUL NOT TO HIT THE CONE OF SUB WITH THE SOLDER GUN COULD BE TROUBLE:eek: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif
