Reconing a sundown SA 15...expertise needed...

Ok so I'm going to install a standard sundown sa drop in when completed. Sundown quote was 60$

While separating the motor from basket I broke the plastic ring spacer.

On a mic it reads .4000 thick. Or height

I have .3750 tube shaped sleeves

When changing the height or thickness of the spacer what exactly happens?

Decrease ht. = coil crash?

Increase ht. = ?
