I was given a RF T1 15 inch sub but it has a blown coil. Would it be possible to be reconed? and would it be worth it?

I reconed a T1 12" not long ago.. It was a total PITA finding a coil that would fit since they use flat wound aluminum coils and a very thin gap.. IIRC I used a thicker copper coil with less wind height made for a cerwin vega sub.. I also have some much larger single 4ohm coils that will fit the gap and significantly increase the sub's power handeling and Xmax.

why bother it is a T1 not worth the cost IMO....

don't do it. complete waste of time. and you still end up with a sub par sub...

I don't know much about the sub, but did check with RF website.. looks like weight is about 46 pounds... figure a few more pounds for shipping materials.. and we are close to a 50 pound package...
