Recommended Amp Setup for 2x 12" Alpine Type R SWR-12D2

Hello, I am new to this site. I am wondering if I could seek some help here in finding a good quality

amp. Price range is not a factor, I just want the best for my dollar. I am looking at getting 2 SWR-12D2.

It's a 2 ohm sub, I would prefer just to run one amp versus powering each with one. What are some of your personal preferences?

And what are some good 12" subs that hit pretty solid, I like the kicker L5 but the Alpine Type R are a very good sub from specs and reviews, and she hits pretty **** hard. Welcome! The trouble you're going to find yourself in is finding that kind of power at 2ohms or beefing up your electrical to handle a half-ohm load. I would suggest trying to find something like a MMATS 2000.2 used, personally. If you could swap the D2 subs for D4, you would have a much easier time finding 2K@1ohm instead.

You guys are quite right. I think it'd make more sense to go with the 4 ohm. If I am correct , DTR1.2200D - Soundstream Monoblock 2200 Watt , Will be a good amp , I hear good things from Soundstream and this website has wicked deals.

You guys are quite right. I think it'd make more sense to go with the 4 ohm. And the Cadence sub is on a very good deal on ebay too I see. So this amp is gonna give me more than enough power which is great, now can I run a 1 Channel Amp with these two 4 ohm subs? Haven't really looked at that end of it yet.
