hey guys, what do you think of running a single type-R 12 (2 ohm) in a ported box with a v12 1000watt rms amp? could it take it ok? and how would it compare to my 2 10" infinity reference speakers (250w rms each) on a RF 250wX2 amp in a sealed box? is it worth selling my current setup to get the R?

the r in a ported box would be better than the 10's. in my opinion. 1000 may be a little much for a single r though. be very careful on the gain settings and it will hit pretty well.

i read the thread and saw some things about the fi bl or q. haven't heard the bl, but the q is the shit. put 1200 to it and it rocks.

what amp would i run on the BL or Q? and would it hit harder then the single R on the 1000w? or should i just go with 2 R's on the 1000w amp

If you would consider a single 15" I have a custom tc9 which would be GREAT at that much power. It would fit pretty well into your budget and I am very very impressed with sound quality. Comparble to w7/6's and idmax. Pm me if you have any interest.
