recommendations on good brands to start out with 300 dollar budget

imo u can do better buying an obsidian for 50$ more and get a used 600-1200 watt amp to run it... maybe even a new Hifonics on the net ...something like an hfi1500 will do 1200 rms at 1...

you can buy my old school JL 12 w6---------------> http://www.caraudio.com/forums/subwoofer-classifieds/521972-jl-audio-12w6.htmland find a amp that'll do atleast 300rms at 3 ohms.

pretty sure that can all be done under 300.
