Recommendations for a new sub

So I put my Kicker 12" sub with the Sony Xplod 800w walmart amp (haha) in my BMW and it's not nearly as loud as it was in my old Chevy Lumina //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . And it just sounds like boomy trash basically. I want a tighter sound and was thinking of getting 2 10" inch subs with a better amp. However I was also thinking maybe I could just get a better 12" or 10" sub, maybe a JBL or something more high-end? Whatever I do I want to try to keep it under like $300, alot less if i could!

Read the forums. You will learn. At this point in time you need to learn lots.

Your equipment needs work, your box needs work, tuning skills need work, and likely installation skills as well. There's a lot more to an install than the equipment, so I suggest you start reading up.
