recomendations on non mainstream components

Rainbow is pretty "mainstream" on this forum. lol But, not to the average Joe consumer.

However, the thought of some guy sitting around making his own crossovers always seemed kinda bizzare to me.
It's not like the crossovers make themselves....even the crossovers that come with speakers you buy in the store were built by "some guy sitting around".

Many people have done the research and have the knowledge to properly design a passive crossover on their own, and the resources the buy the necessary components for those crossovers.

 
he actually knows quite a bit and did a good job. but when he went on to build his own speakers etc. etc. i dont think he realized it wasn't as easy as it seems. i dont doubt he'll actually make some very good products in time. Very bright guy.
