reciever amp gain control

Hi everyone, new to car audio. I recently bought a JVC KD-S100 CD reciever @20 rms per channel. It has a built-in amp gain control to match speaker rms (+/- 50rms); either hi power or low power. It also has an "off" that deactivates the built-in amplifier. I also bought two sets of 6.5 component speakers (100rms each) and a Eclipse 4200 amp @ 60rms x 4 @ 4ohms. My question is will the reciever's 20 rms built-in amp add to the 60rms from the Eclipse? Or does it shut off automatic?

you should not have both hooked up lol

the amp works off of the rca (low level output)

and the speaker wires out of deck are high level output (not used when using an amp)

so in short the signal goes from the deck to the amp via the rca's and then from the amp to the speakers through speaker wire (either directly to each speaker /or use 9 wire to oem wire behind deck

thanx guys. I don't have that amp hooked up yet; I'm thinking of bridging it for two RF 10" subs and get an Infinity 475a for the comps. lol
