receiver recomendation

so i just picked up a pair of these guys for my dorm (didnt pay retail ,got em for a pretty good price brand new)

im thinking im most likely gunna want to add a sub in say a month or two (thinking of a pair of sundown E8s, so im most likely gunna need an amp in addition to that, right?)

if anybody can recomend me a receiver that will get me started or what i should be looking for. even if anybodys selling one, that would work as well.

im thinking something like 5 channels around 90w RMS per chanel. is that about right? should i look for something more?

any help is appreciated.

I have a Pioneer Receiver I used with similar subs (the R30s, not R50s)

I'd look into Onkyo for the best bang for the buck.

I love my Onkyo TX-SR605 and 606... they are GREAT...

well, im really trying to pick up something used, so right around $100. im most likely gunna take flipx99s receiver. just trying to do some haggling im so broke its not even funny.

If you look on ebay you can find a Onkyo TX-SR605 for ~100. So chill the **** out

I wasn't saying to go drop $1k on a receiver...

Kid doesn't get it, mayb relate it to car audio... would you think you can pick up a 5 channel amplifier, and HU that controls all the channels audio/video for $100?

Just relating it... I understand people have budgets, but $300-400 would get you a nice future proof Audio/Video receiver...

i understand what your saying, but alls i had was $100 so i needed to make it work. the "lol...werd" in your post is discouraging. if you were in my position, youd probably take it that way too.

doesnt matter because i just picked up a pioneer receiver/dvd combo for $110 from flipx99. thats pretty much all i was looking for.
