reccomend me some headphones

They're over ear headphones and are pretty much a forum boner on headphone websites right now iirc.
Yeah, right now three years ago. They've gone up in price considerably, even in the past year. If WD doesn't come up with something soon, I'll come back and post. (playing BO2 right now).

EDIT: Here, some off of the top of my head.

I'm partial to the Shure, just because I love the Shures I had for the past two years.

You might also try these, but I've never heard them, so I don't know how good they are. Great reviews, both on Head-Fi and Amazon, etc.

OP, what is it that you're looking for, other than bass? Clarity, wide/deep soundstage, separation, recessed or neutral mids/highs, etc.? And what are you going to be using these with, iPod, laptop, etc.? You could buy a cheap, portable amp(like the FiiO E11: http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E11-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0053KWDES) and that would really increase your bass ability for whatever headphone you get.

Dont get the Audio Technica. Everyone recommends them, but they are not that good. Shure SRH750DJ's, Sony XB700's, even the VMODA Crossfade LP1's are better than the Audio Technicas.

If you didnt needs gobs of bass and over ear Id recommend the Grado SR80i's Im selling. They are awesome for the price. Open backed headphones for a nice open sound stage, they dont get hot, nice and crisp vocals. Everything you would expect in a balanced headphone.

I have a set of Shure 750DJ's sitting on my desk and have owned the Crossfade LP1's.

We got my boy a set of these Amazon.com: Philips O'Neill SHO9561/28 Over-Ear Headphones (Powder White): Electronics. We wanted to stay under $100, he had asked for some skull crushers. We were at best buy and they had them all set up so you could listen to the different ones on the same music and stuff, I thought these sounded better then the skull crushers and the beats, which are a lot more expensive, in fact it wasn't till you got into the $250 range that I thought they were not superior. Most of his friends say his are better than all of there's. And more comfortable.

That's just what we found, I'm sure there are better ones out there but we wanted to try them, didn't trust buying off the internet site unheard.

For the price he is spending you can get much better for the money. Shure SRH750DJ, Shure SRH440, you could even find some Sennheiser 558's.
The ones I linked still sound amazing and are comfortable to wear all day. If he wants to drop a large amount though then have at it.

The 750's run about $110 from an authorized dealer. Thats bottom of the barrel as far as good quality headphones go. If you think thats alot check out the Stax or Audeze LCD2's.
