Are you running 1 or 2 subs?

If you are running one sub, you should find an amp that does its power at 2 ohm. Alpine was a good suggestion. Kicker would be another option. You should be able to find one within your price range.

For $280 you can get a new Alpine mrx 1000. It will walk on anything else mentioned.
