Rearview mirror vibration

i need to know how to stop my rear view mirror from vibrating and making noise

i was told by a friend that i could use a archery bow vibration stopper on my windshield to stop it. what do you guys think? and what else would work?

try taking off the rear view. Thats the only thing that i can think of.

well i drive a cadillac seville and the rear view mirror has a bunch of power options it would be a pain in the *** to take it off.

Pull apart the mirror and deaden the back of it...then make sure the screws are tight.

try tightening it up first, but for the most part its gonna vibrate, but it shouldnt rattle

This is a good plan. I've also seen people fill the hollow cavity behind the mirror with various materials.

problem with that is you wont be able to move the mirrior if you do that... ummm see if there is a kit that uses the frame of your car to mount the mirrior not the front windshield and that wood work..... but that could be pricey but like the other poeple said deadener wood work wonders!

There's not all that much you can do if you want to completely stop the rattling....notice if you apply pressure to the mirror while it's vibrating it stops....you'll have to permanently simulate that kind of pressure in order to solve the problem.

solution = don't have subs........ if that's not an option, don' thave the volume up, lol
