Rear firing small pressure box, with lots of power. Subwoofer on passenger side, external aeroports towards driver rear sidewall.
Leave 4-8" between the left side on the box and the passenger rear sidewall... and ~3" b/w subwoofer and rear wall.
With the external aeroports, I had 4 of them for my 15... and they were inches from the driver sidewall for daily driving (like 2-3") and A LOT shorter for competition.
Yeah it's unfortunate how much trucks have cancellation issues for some reason. Everyone tells me this and I have experienced this as well, owning a truck.. It sucks.
I had my current set up in my friends hatch (omfg) and my other friends SUV and both felt way louder to the ears than in my truck. Oh well.
I'm getting a GTI soon and even though it was much louder, my box took up the entire hatch space. I'm not sure if I'm down with that lol.
every different vehicle I get, I always try subs firing each way I can because its always different for each vehicle. I usually fire everything back, but in my chrysler 300, firing the xxx 15" forward gives the best sound, and most output.
Glad you found that out for yourself....now you should experiment each time w/ different setups and vehicles.
