A Mach 3 is still classified as a fixed-blade since the blades do not move unless you move your hand //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif(as opposed to electric shavers where the blades are constantly rotating if the shaver is powered on)

whatever. im not a razor guru. the head moves up and down on the mach 3. they dont on the others i was using.

My barber shaves me with a straight razor every single time I get a haircut.

It might make me nervous if my barber was a young guy but he's in his 80s and has been using straight razors since back in the day when they were the only kind of razor that existed. He's pretty badass with it, too - he gets me clean shaven a heckuva lot faster than I can do it myself with my Mach 3, that's for sure.

why are razors so much better, closer shave? i use electric cuz i shave every day, could probably twice a day, and going through the hassle of using a razor would pi$$ me off i think.

closer and smoother shave usually, i can shave my beard off and a week later to 2 weeks it's all grown back.
