Real or Fake Autotek amp?

A local guy is selling this AUTOTEK 7204 BTX amplifier

The specs as he described are as follows:

~ 800 watts

~ 4 channels

~ 4 ohms

~ great for running into 4 speakers @ 200 Watts each

~ great for running into 1 or 2 Subs

I will take a look at it but no idea if those specs are for real. Just really weird I can't find ANY info with a google search.

Yea I've seen the BTS amps on the amp guts section of realm of excursion. But the guy said he read the label on the amp itself and gave me the info from the first post I put up. I searched the realm of excursion forum with no luck of an autotek 7204btx or 7204bts.

I'll check it out when I get a chance sometime next week and post some pics if I end up testing it and it works.

I just emailed autotek(maxxsonics) and perhaps they might have some info on it? worth a try i guess.

Maxxsonics won't help i wouldn't imagine. . . . they recently took over and all of thier stuff is nowhere as old as that sounds. . . thier lines have been completely different. you need to look for pre-maxxsonics suff

Oh man,

I got a reply within 15 minutes by email! And guess who replied!

"Dear Daniel,

These were built almost 18 years ago so my memory is not that good!

It is a 4 channel amplifier rated at 50w x 4 at 4 ohms.

I designed the amplifier but as I say 18 years is a long time.
