These are one of the best tweeters you can buy price/performance wise in audio. Just check out Zaph|Audio along with other home audio sites as well as here at DIY Mobile Audio - Technical, Advanced & Informative. These have a sweet-top end with the details and presence to out perform anything in its price and more. They are actually about to cross as low as 2.2kHz @ 24db in my testing, but maybe lower depending on your application. These retail for $156/pair + shipping.

Many of you may not know what this is, basically Subaru picked McIntosh to make a high-end car audio system upgrade for Legacy. This McIntosh HU is a 6-disc in-dash CD changer with internals of the McIntosh MX-406 (I have no way to verify exactly, but what I have found through extensive research and calling). Whats makes this rare is that its a USDM market unit which will have US stations without a FM converter, volume on the left, 13-pin DIN to RCA females (Neutrik end), and wiring harnes for easy plug-n-play. The Ego Bookshelves (Focal Utopia 5.25" and Hiquphon OWII) - $530 shipped

These bookshelves are composed of a Focal Utopia 5 1/4" and Hiquphon OWII. I use these as my reference home system to listen to stereo recordings. Natural, detailed top-end with the full, clear midrange, frequency response of 85 Hz-20 kHz with +/-2dB. This is passive setup and the components value >$150. I was using an AURA NS10 in a ported enclosure to fill out the bottom end (also for sale if interested)

These are Seas "reference" drivers for their Prestige line which borrow some technology from their Excel brothers such as copper in the motor and pole piece.
