I don't know if my particular reasoning would have gotten me the job but here's my take on this:

1) If she's literally about to die then most likely giving her a ride wouldn't have prevented it from happening.

2) Someone who saved my life would certainly be deserving of a returned favor.

3) The women in my dreams aren't women I'd want to keep for the long-term so should one of them be sitting on a bench alongside the other two I'd be sad that I missed an opportunity but oh well.

Its just rain, your boy would understand if you had to leave them for a girl, especially a real hot one. I personally would make my friends take that choice over taking me. Shizz I can wait, wouldnt be the first time. I know that decision in the end would make them happier, its all about empathy. Id dry off take a nice hot shower and think he's a lucky man.
