I think what I originally thought I was going to do was wire them up in parallel as you would for two 2-ohm subs, which is supposed to be a 1-ohm load according to JL Audio's website. I can't remember if this was not possible or something? Would hooking up in parallel mean that both speakers run on the same channel?
JL's website:
2 SVC drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel
This is pretty simple, too. Wire both woofer (+) to the amplifier's (+) and do the same with the (-) connections.
2 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohm
3 Ohm Subwoofer: 1.5 Ohms
4 Ohm Subwoofers: 2 Ohms
8 Ohm Subwoofers: 4 Ohms
12 Ohm Subwoofers: 6 Ohms
Thanks!
Bryan
