RE XXX 15" vs 2 Eclipse 12" Alums

So I have a RE XXX 15" on its way, and i was wondering, do you think it will be significantly louder than my 2 12" Eclipse SW8122.4s???

15" XXX in around 4.5-5 cubes tuned to 35hz with about 3-4kw of power on tap.

for the xxx, dunno yet. Thinkin USAmps Md2 or the IA 20.1

the alums are using a T500.2 rockford... not that great, i know

strapped IA 20.1's would be better. then you should put an absolute *** kicking on the alum's.

no, to the new XXX i don't believe it's too much. hell, RE has said themselves that it will take 3-4kw to reach full excursion, so mechanical damage will be nearly impossible for you. iirc it uses a 4 layer 4" vc, so thermal power handling is plenty high as well.

keep in mind that just because you have 3-4kw on tap, does not mean that your sub will be seeing 3-4 kw at all time, particularly after you consider impedance rise.
