From a lot of other's testing, the sx didn't come out to be a very loud driver.

Actually, for the 'daily beater' it was designed to be, SX's are pretty loud. They fall short when you dump them in an SPL box and try to burp them with kilowatts of power. They are not an MT.
With that said, Im not a big fan of SX's. Just not my cup of tea in a subwoofer.

theres a few people who are loud with SXs hell theres an guy on meade fourm that did an 150.2 @ 30hz with 2 SX 18's trust me they can get loud.

have i owned an better driver? hell yea but for the price i got these 2 18's hell no! but in all honesty id go wit the BLS. only downfall about these SXs is that RE went Sky High with there pricing! cheapest pair of SX 18s i seen was around 720$ hell wit a bit more cash u can get 2 BTLS maybe not fully loaded but BTLS

Thanks for the tips... And i might have blown my amp (it got wet) which amp would be best for 2 of the bl 15's???

as with anything it always depends on the installation that will determine how most subs sound..my sx sounded like shyt when i had it in a prefab box..it couldnt hit any higher bass notes and was really muddy..then i got a chambered t-line built and it was a completely different sub..clean, separated bass notes and im hitting mids 140's in a trunked car with a single 15" on 1400 watts.I think i they are good subs and have the potential to get really loud..and if in the right box can sound good too

yea i Think i am headed towards re!!! Hopefully i will like it... But a question to you were you happy with you sx when you got a good box

extremely..i still run it and it take 400 watts over rms all day long with a proper install...i really like the sub..if you go over to realmofexcursion.com pm r/t pimp he can hook you up with insane deal on re stuff...actually i think hes on this forum too now..

yea i think he said that he could get me 2 sx 15's 550 shipped which is a really good deal but i dont know if i willing to buy from quite yet. On your sx like does it hit all types of bass or just low or high etc.

it used to just hit pretty low..now in the new box its hitting all the notes that a sub should hit and it hits them pretty hard...see im from ny but now i reside in a small town (to me) in raleigh Nc..i have one of the loudest single sub setups that i ever heard round here..i havent heard them all...but so far around here i have the most annoying system to my neighbors..believe me in the right enclosure...2 15" sx withe about 2500 watts off power will rock you world..you wont be disapointed...especially for that price... and dont worry about r/t pimp he is a reputable guy

if you buy from him you will have a full warranty if they are new...im telling you he will not do anything but give you a great deal...everyone has dealt with him on ROE..i bought by Sx from him and he shipped it out the next day....mine was used but it looked like brand new..go to realmofexcursion.com and look him up in sellers reviews..hes an authorized RE dealer as well as many other companys.
