RE SX or XXX for my Amp?

That amp will not put out the 4000 watts at 1 ohm..It is a beast indeed, but doesn't put out the power it claims. If will do over 3000 though, and with that kind of power both subs will be excellent. Essentially it comes down to if you want to spend the extra and get the XXX's. Personally, I would be quite content with the SX's and a ported box tuned low. Thanx Jimmy, that is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. All I need to do now is get my enclosure specs squared away then I make my final decision based on what I want to spend

Make it big and tuned low and you will be as happy as a pig in shit... Ya, what would you recommend I tune it at. I figured 32hz as thats what RE suggests

32 is right about where I would put it. Will still hit pretty **** hard, and hit those lows excellent. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you wish to go more SPL tune higher. hehe...mine is tuned at 63 so there you go...you don't wanna go that high.

Anywhere from 30-34 should be nice and sweet.

i was in the same situation deciding whether to get an sx or xxx. i ended up saving and getting an xxx b/c i just didn't want to regret not getting the xxx.

Thanx again for the responses. I suppose if I go SX then ill have to spend a little more off the bat just to get the 1ohm coils. Man, I wish my box thread would get these responses. Its pretty much the only thing I havent been able to figure out.

That's too much amp for a single SX. Its overkill for a single XXX imo also. If you are talking 2 SX's and not just one, then nevermind.

Yeah, it was either 2 SX's or 2 XXX's...I still say the SX's, but what the heck do I know anyways?!?!
