x2 on the Q ... Both are great subs but the Q is a bit more of a musical sub but will get darn loud doing so .

Really? I didnt think the Q would get that loud....I'll probably put somewhere around 1200-1400rms on whichever one I get. Can they take it?

it allows the sub to cool down better, therefore allowing you to throw more watts at it. So yes, you are correct. (its only like 40 or 50 bucks more)

from what I've read it seems that the SX will get louder but the Q will get lower and be cleaner
Both of these will be impacted by enclosure/environment/power/electrical etc...

I have yet to have someone sit in my car and say my Q's aren't loud.
