A friend of mine is looking at these, and when i modeled it in Winisd, it recommended 7 cubes to 22hz. So i put in the recommended specs from the RE website, and it had a HUGE peak to it, and didn't look like it played low at all.

Any advice? Would an SE 12 be a better option?

thanks

Why not follow the specs on the website?

I have 2 sr 10s in about 1.05 cubes per (mid port box) tuned to 33hz and it sounds good

I would use the optimal specs and not compact unless its needed. Also the SE is good for sealed, not sure how it sounds ported.

22hz? Is he using it for home theatre?

i said that is what winisd recommended for a flat response. the recommended box looked peaky.

i would tune it 32-34hz, i have a single SR in 3.2 @ 34 and it deffinetly plays low. I'm about to do my new build which is two in 6 cubes @ 30hz.
thanks for the advice.
