to be honest I think it just handles more power, I seen a guy who had 3 12" xxx's with a zx1500 on each one, & was not impressed. He even admited my shit was louder than his, & at the time I had a kicker KX1200 pushing my 4 12inch type r's. YES 1 1200 watt amp pushing 4 12's to his 3 xxx's with 1500 watts on each.

dasinde91 - I've seen a XXX on 1500rms and it didn't move much at all, I've also seen the same XXX on 5000RMS that was hella loud and used every bit of it's 54mm(one-way) excursion. Those things guzzle power.

It's really just a little beefier flatwound coil in the SE...

Similar to getting the Flatwind option if you were looking at a Fi SSD...

I'm going to assume you are referring the the new XXX and he is referring to the 04/05 xxx's?

They haven't made an seXXX in probably 4-5 years.

Definitely not going to happen now since the SE's are made in china and the XXX's are a completely different sub/coil.

I've owned an SE and an seXXX (still own it actually), and the seXXX was considerably louder.
