RE SE's vs. W6's

I need help deciding....

2 12" RE SE's bough off ebay for like 290 shipped or i could get 2 12" w6v2's locally for 400 picked up.

I'm going back to 2 12s from a 15" TC3K. If they don't get as loud as the TC, i'm fine with it, but I want to have the best sq possible for the budget, but obviously 2 SE's or 2 W6's will still bump real hard. (SETUP would be sealed)

Basically, are the w6's worth the extra money? Obviously trying to stay under 300, but if someone thinks that the w6s are noticably cleaner, than i could pull the mula together.

i dont know thats probly a close one, se's wang good i thought, but i dont remember the w6s i heard, id say theyre more sq though and you said you want that so..

I went from a 13w6v2 to a pair of 12" RE SE's and I noticed that the sound quality is VERY similar, the SE's seemed to hit the lower notes a lot better, but the w6 is a little more musical.

In reference to loudness, I can't really compare, I'm not giving the SE's enough power to know for sure, but they are louder then my single 13w6 (Of course they would be).

if your goal is a good solid sq system that can get dicently loud, the w6v2's are hard to beat. the re may have the "louder" advantage but the w6's will pwn them in the sq area.

shop around some, you should be able to get the w6's a tad cheaper.

what about a 13w7. it'd be about 350 bucks. i know lots of people aren't fans of w7s, but they really are a well built sub, heard my roommates for a bit, but i don't know know if i could compare sq. w6s would smoke a w7 in sq, but would se's?

400 for those w6's is way high.. i sold mine 360 SHIPPED..

You can get IDQ/IDs off ebay for around 300$ a pair too. They get louder than you may think.

the w7 at the right price is a real good choice. i have a 10w7 and it sounds great.imo the w6v2 is a better sq driver but the w7 is as well but can get you louder than the w6.

and to the remark up top, i do like the w7 but it is in no way what the dr ordered if you want loud. my dd 2510 PWNS the w7 in the loudness depo. hands down.

musical means it sounds good. A good SQ sub will hit every note, and hit them evenly and cleanly.
