Kind of a silly question, but what color is the coil suppose to be when the sub is brand new? I can't remember, lol...

I took my se out and threw in an eclipse 88120dvc just for fun, and i looked at the coil on the se and it looked more of a dark copper color. I'm just curious, cause i have been sending it around 850, and i have noticed the cone gets kinda warm after about 15-20 mins of full tilt play time. The sub plays fine though.

thanks

that color

850 watts, thats IT, lol. ive notice that me SE smells a bit when i let it hang. but its always come back for more. at its on a 1200watt amp
My subs are way underpowered, just under 150 watts each and yet I can still be heard. I just might have to stick with Planet Audio amps. Best dam 100 bux well spent.
