RE SE vs ED 13Ov.2

This is not a what is better or louder thread. This is a what will provide the best sq in the following application;

1.0 cuft sealed enclosure

500 watts RMS from a JL 500/1

I have no experience with either companies. They both just have to be on a pre order price at the moment. They are exactly $9 apart in price.

RE SE 12" specs:

600 w rms

.15 cuft displacement

xmax = ??? (anyone know??)

1 year warranty

13Ov.2

600 w rms

.09 cuft displacement

xmax = 18.3 mm

3 year transferable warranty:yumyum:

So, which would you recommend??? Thanks

I would go with the SE jus because of the group buy coming up. And the horror stories of ED.

Well they both have a group buy going...well sort of, you can get the ED's at "pre production" rates till today.

Aren't those relatively isolated incidences??? One guy gets a bad sub and the whole company goes on everyones shit list...how come no one ever pays attention to all the good stories...there has to be 10 good ones for every bad one:crazy:

The SE will take more abuse and get a bit louder overall, but I'd put my money on the Ov.2 being a bit more faithful to the music.

Well now I can get an IDQ V.2 for $150 or an IDQ v.3 for a couple of bucks less. So now its...

13Ov.2 600w rms

RE SE 600w rms

IDQ12 v.2 D2 350w rms

ID12 v.3 D2 250w rms

Again, it will get 500 watts in a 1 cuft sealed:naughty:

the IDQ/v.3 are very sq oriented, and dont like punnishent at all. if you want awersome sq, go with ID

The Ov2 will sound alot better. SPL wise should be very close. If this was ported i'd give the SE the SPL advantage.
