re se 12 vs re sx 12

i own a 15" se and installed a pair of 15" SX.

the SE are more gear towards SQ. they can handle 7-800watts daily, and sound great.

the SX are more on the SPL side, and are power hungry, 1500watts is no prob for these. is woofersetc selling a daul 4ohm SX?? i know there more commen in dual 2, but do come in dual 4. a SE is far more comen in a dual 4, wich we wired in paralle would be perfect on your kicker amp. the SX in a dual 2 wouldnt work so well, as the kicker isnt 1ohm stable, or as far as i know. my advice, go with the SE, its the better of the 2 subs as far as listening is concernd and bette suted to your amp.

^^^ he's right. SX = SPL with half *** SQ, not a horrible sounding woofer just not near the greatest. The SE is great for sealed boxes, and sounds great. Gets relatively loud but not compared to the SX

these subs are for 2 different applications. the SX is a stand-alone spl monster while the SE was made to be used in pairs (or in a single simple application). I've had the HC (the Sx's older brother) and the SE's twice and the SX is all around a better woofer IMO. the SE is sweet, don't get me wrong. it can get downright nasty ported, but it still doesn't compare with the SX

where are you finder sx's cheaper than se's...the sx's cost quite a bit more

edit..yea they are cheaper on that website...thats strange....go with the sx's if you want to get loud
