Im Going To Be Purchasing An RE SE 10'' Here In The Next Month. Its Going To Be Powered By An Orion 1200D.

Amp Says It Does:

425 x 1 @ 4 ohm

725 x 1 @ 2 ohm

1200 x 1 @ 1 ohm

My Question Is Should I get The SE In A D2 Or D4? It Says The Sub Can Handle 600wRMS. I Was Thinking D4 I Could Wire To 1 Ohm But Idk If That Is Too Much Power To Give It Or If I Could Just Keep The Gains Set Low. Or I Could Get The D2 And Put 725 To It But Idk If That Will Be Enough Or It Will Be Seeing All Of That Power?

What Do You Guys Think??

If you get the d4 you should be fine with running it with the full 725 watts. If you get the d2 you will have to keep the gain low so you don't send it the full 1200 watts. But just keeping your gains low doesn't meen you aren't sending the amp's full power. You'll have to set the gains properly with a dmm and a 50hz test tone cd. There are plenty of threads on here that tell you how to set gains properly.
