What sowftware will undo the compression of an mp3, and re-compress it to a higher quaility? some of my 56k songs are killing me.

None. If you encode it higher it will simply take more space on your hard drive but the sound quality will be exactly the same. You need to re-encode from the source.

Thats what I was afraid of. I dont have the originals anymore, and I have a 28.8k dial-up connection at my house, so downloading all of them again is out of the question. I guess I will havta borrow them from friends.

its not my modem, I have a 56k modem, its the stupid ISP juno. My parents pay 10 a month for it, and it will only connect at 28.8k max, and high-speed internet is not available where I live, it sucks!!
