OK guys, sorry this turned into such a hate fest. I didn't mean for anything like this to happen. Like I said, I know little about either of these companies. Anyway, I went with the HC, if anyone cares. Not because of what was said on here, but that's what I was leaning towards in the first place. I really wanted 1 sub, and the hc fit my needs. i just finally read this thread for this time....and i'm thoroughly in disbelief of the actions and general demeanor of the owner of eD in the parameters discussed in this thread...

i absolutely had no idea any of this stuff was going on...that's why it's such a big shock....

Well......Chad wanted so badly to know what happened to me.......so here......

I meet Ben at MECA finals 2002.......eat with him.....and his g/f........seems like a really cool guy. We start to talk......basically every night. Began to become pretty good friends. He asks me to come work for him in Iowa.......about 14hrs away. I actually consider it........like......seriously consider it. He tells me about the upcoming 15A and 9.1........i tell him that I definately want one of both......and he says that's great and that he will let me have both at around $100 off.....apiece. Well, time comes to give him the money for the stuff........and he says......oh......that'll be full price. Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that he's running a business or whatnot........and it wasn't really about the money at all. It was about the fact that he'd rather have someone whom he doesn't know and doesn't care about give him $100 more than I would be giving him. Basically, I, and everyone who was told the story, felt that he was blowing off his supposed friends for a few greenbacks. Now, I don't know where you guys come from, but I like to help my friends out anytime I can and do not try to make money off of them.

I guess this was just another problem of mixing "friends with business", but when you tell said friend something, you should stick to your word.........or maybe i'm just crazy.....

Then there's the fact that I know that he disregards recommendations about products from the manufacturers of those products just to make a buck.

So there......he's a greedy bastard, IMO. But who really cares?

well, as i see it, at least you are stating the facts behind your opinion. thats all i have really asked for throughout this thread.

Talking out the ***, are we? You can call eD, give them your CC # for the preorder, and not be charged until they ship. Nice try, though.

I'll call you out on that b/s right now. I ordered 3 K's last September, found out they were on backorder. After waiting a few weeks, I called to get my money back, and went with RE. My CC was charged, and I was refunded my money. But they don't charge until they ship do they?

I was referring to the current preorder. ibanender was referring to the current one, and that isn't true now, thankfully. I had someone else who took it that way, too, and I apologize for not being more concise.

No need to apologize to me, seems to me you might want to save those for all the unsattisfied customers. Although from what it looks like, I doubt an apology would make up for all the supposed b/s that has gone on.

I really wouldn't know and could careless about it. Apparently there have been quite a few though, and even one unsattisfied customer is too many.

because those "dozen at best" customers aren't important....
